Director of Education and League Programming
Greg Ekey joined NAUDL in December of 2016 as the Director of Education and League Programming with 20 years of experience in urban secondary education. Greg began his career in education as a high school ELA teacher in Baltimore. There, he also piloted literacy and social-emotional learning curriculum for JHU and co-founded one of the first Baltimore Urban Debate League teams. He eventually left the classroom to provide professional development, instructional coaching and curriculum planning support for teachers serving at-risk populations. For the six years prior to joining NAUDL, he provided school and district administrators of highly challenged schools with data and systems analysis, school transformation support and staff development services in Chicago, Detroit, San Antonio, and Seattle.
Greg holds an MA from Northwestern University and a BA from Towson University.
