We know participation in debate develops literacy, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. It also provides a supportive community the fosters civic engagement, self-advocacy, and intellectual creativity.
Our mission is to bring that opportunity to all students in traditionally underserved communities.
One strategy for accomplishing this to provide quality instructional materials and collaboration venues for the hundreds of dedicated teachers coaching debate across the leagues that we support.
The 2019-2020 school year was a pilot for this endeavor. We are now making changes to the site and expanding resources based upon your feedback. We will be adding resources throughout the summer of 2020 and providing opportunities for you to add your best practices.
